Firm Profile and Qualifications
Gillum Architects, P.C. has been providing complete architectural and engineering services since 1999 when the present firm succeeded the longstanding firm of Bailey, Gardner and Gillum, Architects. The principal of the present firm is T. Marshall Gillum, AIA. Mr. Gillum has been licensed to practice the field of architecture for nearly forty years, is a graduate of the Virginia Tech College of Architecture, and holds his NCARB certification. Our architectural practice is located in Orange, Virginia and is committed to providing the very best in professional architectural services while also providing personal and individual involvement on all projects that our firm agrees to undertake. At present, our firm has various support personnel to meet our client's needs. We are pleased to enjoy a workload reasonable for our size firm, and one that allows our practice to devote personal attention to all projects. We work closely and efficiently with our many clients and utilize the latest Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to produce our drawings, specifications, and similar design documents. Over our many years of practice we have provided professional services in regard to a number of different project types. Some projects have involving new construction while many others have involved renovations, alterations and additions. Various information provided within this site outlines only a select number of projects for which we have successfully provided architectural and engineering services. Importantly, our firm is very familiar with current statewide and local building codes, a number of local building officials, the typical permitting process, numerous general contractors and specialty tradesmen, and many others involved throughout the building and construction industries. As part of our professional team, we typically include highly qualified engineering consultants who work hand in hand with our firm during the design and construction process. Engineering consultants we generally use include a mechanical / plumbing / electrical consulting engineer, a consulting structural engineer and a consulting civil engineer. All engineering consultants that we utilized have related experience that makes them valuable resources to our project team and all are experienced professionals that our firm has worked successfully and efficiently with on many past projects. Gillum Architects, P.C. has the proven management skills and the technical competence that is typically required by today’s design and construction projects and has demonstrated an ability to provide well organized, accurate and fully coordinated construction documents. Our practice has an established reputation of providing projects on schedule and within budget. We understand the importance to our clients of being able to rely on us in this regard; therefore, we take very seriously all reasonable deadlines, schedules, and budget expectations.  |
